Mexican White Oak Also known as a Monterey
Oak, this fast growing white oak Considered nearly
an Evergeen, with medium dense foilage that
provides an excellent sound & wind barrier. Height
over 40ft, width 30 - 40ft. Resistant to live oak wilt.
Crape Myrtle originated from Asia but has
naturalized in the southeastern U.S. There are
many varieties that vary is size and in bloom
color. Deciduous, the blossoms are continuous
throughout the summer and early fall. Crepe
Myrtles grow and bloom best in full sun. They are
fast growing and easy to grow.
Height 15-20 ft, width 10-20 ft. Come in many
colors and variations.
Desert willow a small 20 ft deciduous tree.
.Narrow leaves resemble those of willows
although they are not related. Its flowers from
late spring to fall trumpet-shaped, sweetly
fragrant, light pink to light violet flowers. One of
Texas's best small native trees. Must not be
over watered.
Mountain Laurel Evergreen small shrub
tree can be trimmed lightly and
occasionally to form a denser shrub to
screen a view, or a multi trunked tree form.
Grows slowly but can reach over 20 ft. In
the spring clusters of purple blooms adorn
the plant emitting a strong "grape bubble
gum" fragrance. These are followed by
grey pods filled with red seeds. Can take
partial shade, prefers excellent drainage.

Shumard Red Oak an upright tree, height of up
to 120 ft. It is fast-growing, with an open canopy &
stout spreading branches 50 - 60ft.
Southern Live Oak is majestic and long-lived,
with a crown that can spread up to twice its height.
Height 50ft - 60ft, width 80ft -100ft. It is pH
adaptable, tolerant of drought & poor soils .Leathery
gray-green leaves are evergreen.
Chinquapin Oak is an attractive medium to
large shade tree. Saw-tooth leaves are a rich
green, turning yellow to bronze in fall. It t is
adaptable to a range of soils and exposures. It
is moderate to fast-growing and develops an
open rounded crown as it ages.
Height 50-70ft and 30-40ft spread.
Cedar Elm is the most widespread native elm
in Texas. It is a tough, adaptable shade tree
with excellent drought tolerance and beautiful
golden yellow fall color. Its leaves are small and
rough, and glossy green in the spring. Cedar
Elm can withstand heavy, poorly drained clay
soils and soils that are moderately compacted.
It is the only native Texas elm that
flowers.25-50 ft tall and 25-35ft spread.
